Some specific sports events brought an additional EUR8k. In Paris, 35 employees and clients ran the Adidas 10k for the Foundation. In Milan, our 5th Bocce Tournament gathered employees and clients.

The Foundation directed the funds to our 11 anchor projects across Europe, supporting children and youth. Our beneficiaries are active in different fields: medical, research, mental health, fight against bullying or child poverty, mentoring. We supported one new beneficiary in France as we agreed to finance a EUR60k portable device for life-saving cardiac procedures on premature newborn for Hôpital Marie Lannelongue. We also highlight two new projects at existing beneficiairies: the overhaul of the pediatric emergency department reception area at Hôpital Necker in France and the financing of two research rooms at the new “Torre della Ricerca” for the Fondazione Maria Letizia Verga in Italy.

In Paris, the Institut du Cerveau de l’Enfant at Robert Debré laid the Foundation stone of the building, set to be completed and opened by 2028. The ceremony was attended by Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron. In London, we hosted a lunch for our colleagues with Hannah Vickery (CEO) and Tara Hoskin (new Head of Corporate Partnerships) at the Charlie Waller Trust, the UK mental health charity focused on young people.

In an effort to further structure the Foundation, we nominated 18 Ambassadors across Europe to help the Board in the local activities of the Foundation, from beneficiary relations to fundraising efforts. The first Ambassador meeting was held on 15 April.

Since its creation in March 2020 and its legal incorporation in June 2020, the Foundation has distributed close to EUR7.4m to beneficiaries. The foundation’s current donation efforts are focused on medical and social care organisations dedicated to children and Food Banks.

The Foundation’s income comes from Kepler Cheuvreux itself via monthly donations, voluntary deductions from bonus for employees, voluntary payroll deductions, the annual Charity Trading Day, various ad hoc Kepler Cheuvreux client events where clients are invited to donate to the Foundation.
