On Friday 30 January, a Kepler Cheuvreux London team participated in our fourth volunteering day at City Harvest, the UK food bank charity supported by the Kepler Cheuvreux Foundation. The team spent a day packing trays of fruit, vegetables and packaged food, labelling tins and helping to keep the warehouse moving as deliveries came in. One hour of volunteer time at City Harvest equates to preparing 530 meals, so the team helped to feed 20,000 people.
The Foundation’s board members continued to examine new projects across Europe. Several projects are being prepared for Q2, including the participation of a team of employees to a 10k run in Paris.
Since its creation in March 2020 and its legal incorporation in June 2020, the Foundation has distributed a total of nearly € 7 million to beneficiaries. The foundation’s current donation efforts are focused on medical and social care organisations dedicated to children and Food Banks.
The Foundation’s income comes from Kepler Cheuvreux itself via monthly donations, voluntary deductions from bonus for employees, voluntary payroll deductions, the annual Charity Trading Day, various ad hoc Kepler Cheuvreux client events where clients are invited to donate to the Foundation.
