Amsterdam 30th June 2023
Having donated € 880 906 in Q4 2022 to nineteen beneficiaries in eight European countries, Q1 & Q2 2023 have been all about rebuilding funds. The beneficiaries of the Q4 2022 donations were a mix of the nine anchor projects, eight food banks (given the cost-of-living crisis in Europe) and two new one-off beneficiaries: CRIS Cancer France and Make a Wish Nederland.
By the end of Q2 2023, the Foundation had rebuilt funds in excess of € 450 000. These funds will be donated to beneficiaries later in the year.
On 14th April, seven members of Kepler Cheuvreux staff were privileged to spend a day volunteering at the main warehouse of City Harvest, a London-based food bank distribution charity. We were busy sorting donated food into batches and helped with a couple of deliveries to food banks.
As last year, we have organized summer client events in our European offices to raise awareness of the Foundation. Events in Brussels, Zurich, London, Amsterdam, Milan and a ‘plank challenge’ have so far raised over € 5 000.
Since its creation in March 2020 and its legal incorporation in June 2020, the Foundation has distributed a total of € 3.78 million to beneficiaries by end 2022. The foundation’s current donation efforts are focused on medical and social care organisations dedicated to children (Necker-Enfants Malades children’s hospital), Het Vergeten Kind (the Forgotten Child) etc. and food banks.
The Foundation’s income comes from Kepler Cheuvreux itself via monthly donations, voluntary deductions from bonus for employees, voluntary payroll deductions, the annual Charity Trading Day, various ad hoc Kepler Cheuvreux client events where clients are invited to make a donation to the Foundation.
The Foundation is always open to donations. Kepler Cheuvreux has continued to contribute €50,000 per month since the Foundation was launched.
