Amsterdam 2nd July 2024: Q2 2024 Activity report

Having donated € 572 098 in December 2023 in our 9th round of disbursements, Q2 2024 continued to be about rebuilding funds.

By the end of Q2 2024, the Foundation had rebuilt funds in excess of € 400k. Approx € 500k will be donated to the anchor projects in July/August in our 10th round of disbursements. Therefore, we will cross the symbolic threshold of €5M in donations collected and distributed since the Foundation’s inception.

One of the founding board members, Ruggero Bottazzi, head of the Milan office, resigned in Q2 and was replaced as a board member by Angus Saer from the London office.

The Foundation continued the audit meetings of its ten anchor project beneficiaries. In Q2, we successfully audited The Charlie Waller Trust, Fondazione Buzzi, Pélicano, Belgian Food Banks (not an anchor project) and Fundación El Sueño de Vicky.

The Frankfurt office has selected two new anchor project beneficiaries to replace Universitäts Klinikum Frankfurt children’s cancer ward: namely, Die Arche in Frankfurt (a children’s social care organisation) and Joblinge (which helps disadvantaged young people to start their careers).

One of the quarter’s highlights was fund raising by our local offices: a two-man team managed to raise over € 6000 in sponsorship by doing the London Capital Ring Run (78 miles) and a bocce tournament with clients in Milan raised over € 2000.

Since its creation in March 2020 and its legal incorporation in June 2020, the Foundation has distributed a total of € 4,861 million to beneficiaries.  The foundation’s current donation efforts are focused on medical and social care organisations dedicated to children (Necker-Enfants Malades children’s hospital), Het Vergeten Kind (the Forgotten Child) etc. and Food Banks.

The Foundation’s income comes from Kepler Cheuvreux itself via monthly donations, voluntary deductions from bonus for employees, voluntary payroll deductions, the annual Charity Trading Day, various ad hoc Kepler Cheuvreux client events where clients are invited to donate to the Foundation.
