Kepler Cheuvreux ESG Research has published a new 360 report: All about hydrogen

The world is starting to shift from a model based on fossil fuels to more environmentally friendly solutions. Electrification and renewables are on the rise, especially the latter, but they will not be enough to solve the energy transition alone. Other solutions need to be explored, one of which is hydrogen. The European Commission plans for hydrogen to account for 13-14% of the EU’s energy mix by 2050. Here we look at the pros and cons of hydrogen, its applications, its political support, and its economic competitiveness. This report continues our series of educational reports on environmental issues, which we started back in November with a primer on CO2 and will continue with a number of more focused sector publications written by our equity analysts.
